IT IS OFFICIAL - SIDNEY STRINGER ACADEMY IS IN THE TOP 1% OF SCHOOLS IN THE COUNTRY FOR PROGRESS

Following analysis of the summer exam results, Sidney Stringer Academy can proudly announce that we are  in the top 1% of schools in the country  for the progress that students make. This is a tremendous achievement and is an accolade to all the hard work of staff and students. As well as this our Maths department is in the top 7%, English top 25% and Social Sciences top 5% nationally.

The results of November examinations show that nearly all students improved by at least one grade and many of them by two or even three grades since the summer! This means that 53% of our year 11 students have now achieved 5 A*-  C including English and Maths which has  already beaten last year’s record results of 52%.

I would like to congratulate all students who have improved their grades on their success and to thank staff for all their effort to make this happen.  Many came in during their holidays for extra revision classes and worked intensively for two full weeks on their English and Maths.

There has never been a better time to be a student at Sidney stringer Academy.
Wendy Tomes, Principal
