OFSTED judge that Sidney Stringer Academy is making Outstanding progress!
OFSTED inspectors visited Sidney Stringer Academy for our first monitoring visit and said that we are making outstanding progress. The headlines from their report are:
The 2011 Educational Value Added Score is amongst the highest in England.
Teaching was found to be good or better in more than 80% of lessons. 40% lessons judged to be outstanding.
The student’s behaviour was particularly impressive
Students show high levels of engagement, courtesy, collaboration and co-operation in and out of lessons
Students were positive about all aspects of the Academy felt safe and noted that bullying was not a concern
The leadership team has a collegiate strength that is helping the Academy move rapidly forward. Standards are rising and educational achievement is particularly impressive

Sophistication and personalisation within the Academy’s curriculum
The Academy has made outstanding progress towards raising standards

SIDNEY STRINGER ACADEMY IS IN THE TOP 1% OF SCHOOLS IN THE COUNTRY FOR PROGRESS
Examination results show that Sidney Stringer is in the top 1% of schools in the country for the progress that students make. This is a tremendous achievement and is an accolade to all the hard work of staff and students.

Sidney Stringer Academy is pleased to announce that an extensive range of sport, creative and leisure facilities are now being made available to community groups are now available to community groups for booking, including:
- Indoor Sports Hall (5 a side football / netball / volleyball / badminton / basketball / cricket nets)
- Dance Studio
- Theatre
