If the Academy goes ahead it would
mean that:

Sidney Stringer School would change its status to an Academy from September 2010 and operate for the first school year, with improved facilities in the existing Sidney Stringer School building, before moving into the new Academy building on its completion a year later.

The new Academy would admit up to 1,350 students, including a new sixth form.

It would welcome students from all backgrounds, faiths and abilities

It would be sponsored by City College Coventry, Coventry City Council, Coventry University and Jaguar Cars

It would benefit the local community as part of the wider regeneration of the area by providing a centre for learning and a place for community activities.

Your views and ideas will be taken into account before final decisions are made by the Sponsors and the Government to fund the proposed Academy.
