A new Sidney Stringer

I am delighted to introduce myself as the Principal of the Sidney Stringer Academy.

Sidney Stringer Academy will be unique! Many of you will probably be well acquainted with Sidney Stringer and will know the proud record of the school. It is a good school, and will be a great Academy.

I feel it is a great privilege to lead the Academy, which will be based on the best that the school has offered; with the fabulous and exciting new facilities, it will help students achieve their and our dreams.

I hope that we can do this whilst at the same time being true to those principles which established Sidney Stringer over 30 years ago: respect of self and others, care and ambition. We will continue to be an inclusive school, and we welcome students from all backgrounds, regardless of ability. I passionately believe that there is no limit to what a young person can achieve if they are given the right levels of encouragement and high quality learning opportunities.  This is exactly what we want for every student in our Academy.

We will place considerable emphasis on high standards of behaviour and dress and expect strong support from parents and carers to help us achieve this.
