16 Plus Progress Program

Delivered by the Positive Youth Foundation, the Progress Program aims to get participants fully prepared to enter some form of training, employment or education which would be suitable for them, but to also help them sustain their attendance and learning. The program runs for an hour every Friday morning. Over the course of 12 weeks, participants will:

· Up-skill their transferable skills

· Improve proficiency in searching and applying for jobs/apprenticeships/Level 3 courses

· Develop and perfect good interview techniques

· Work 1-2-1 with a mentor to develop an ‘individual action plan’ and set personal goals

· Build confidence and self-esteem

The program is highly flexible, and can be tailored to meet the students’ needs and requests. Each week participants will focus on a different theme, and have the opportunity to take part in various thought-provoking, engaging workshop-style activities in a fun and relaxed environment. Each student will receive dedicated and professional advice and guidance, steering them towards the career they wish to pursue.
