Introduction

We are very proud of our sixth form at Sidney Stringer. It is a strength of the school and as we move into the Academy we will continue to build on this success and outstanding provision.

In September 2011 our purpose built £28 million school opens. Sixth form facilities will be fantastic, including a Common Area, separate 16+ working area off the library, Kitchen/Dining area and private interview and meeting rooms. So it is a really good time to join us.

Relationships are based on mutual respect and we expect all students to treat each other as adults – as do the staff. We offer:

• Opportunities for personal development through positions of trust and responsibility
• Leadership opportunities through prefect system as well as Head Boy and Head Girl.
• A very wide range of courses and qualifications taught by experienced and well-qualified staff – this is increasing each year.
