Welcome from Mr Martin  Assistant Principal 16+ and Mr Ellis Assistant Principal. <\/b><\/h2>\n

Welcome to our Sixth Form. We are so proud of the community we serve because it is the family feel that makes our Sixth form so special.  We are now one of the biggest post 16 providers in Coventry and continue to be oversubscribed year on year. We are very proud of our provision which is underpinned by our curriculum principles; <\/span>Immersion, Inclusion and Ambition. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

We are immensely proud of our broad curriculum offering over 30 different courses, both academic and vocational.  This allows us to offer students a great degree of flexibility when choosing their post 16 options with many students opting for a combination of both academic and vocational subjects. <\/span><\/p>\n

We have a large,  well established and experienced pastoral team who have years of experience in supporting students both academically and pastorally.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sidney Stringer Academy are leaders in the use of technology; we believe that the best preparation we can do is to support our learners for the world of work. Students in post 16 have the opportunity to purchase or borrow a one to one device through their 2 years of study. The use of the google suite is embedded; we expect students to have and use a device effectively as this is preparation for what is to come in the world of work. <\/span><\/p>\n

In September 2018 we opened our purpose built 16+ Study Centre to accommodate our ever growing sixth form. This Centre is for the sole use of our 16+ students with purpose built facilities include classrooms equipped with computers, a large open space set up for private study, a purpose built  cafe and toilets.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our overall aim is to prepare you for the world beyond formal education  by  ensuring that you are the best equipped academically and also that you leave us as a well-rounded individual with a skill-set that will give you the best opportunity to succeed in the outside world; we place equal value on academic outcomes and personal and character development. We believe that success isn\u2019t just about outcome; it\u2019s about character development which we underpin using our DRIVE values. A learner who is ready for the world personifies our DRIVE values and so our ethos and culture is all about DRIVE. <\/span><\/p>\n
